In the Mykolaiv region, government and municipal entities announced medical procurement contracts totaling 27.2 million hryvnias for the first part of 2026. The largest portion of the funds was allocated to the construction of a new outpatient clinic and renovations of regional medical facilities.

This is according to an analysis by the Center for Public Investigations, which examined medical procurement in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.

The majority of Mykolaiv’s expenditures came from the Department of Urban Planning, Architecture, Capital Construction, and Development Project Support of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration. It allocated 27.2 million hryvnias for seven medical procurement lots.

The largest tender—17.9 million hryvnias—was for the construction of a new family medicine clinic in the village of Prybuzke, Mykolaiv District. The winner was Pivdenbud Mykolaiv LTD. An additional 57,000 hryvnias were allocated specifically for architectural supervision of the construction.

An additional 5.2 million hryvnias were allocated for the major renovation of the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care, and Hyperbaric Oxygenation at the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital.

3.2 million hryvnias were allocated for the major renovation of the premises of the rehabilitation department at the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital for War Veterans.

Smaller procurements included the repair of driveways at the regional hospital for 284,800 hryvnias and the construction of a sports field at the hospital for war veterans for 142,600 hryvnias.

Separately, the Mykolaiv Regional Special Medical Supply Base conducted medical procurement. It announced six lots totaling 2.2 million hryvnias. Among the procurements were therapeutic food products for children, an environmental impact assessment service for hazardous waste disposal facilities, and fuel. Two procurements—coal and the first attempt to purchase baby food—did not take place.

Meanwhile, the Health Department of the Mykolaiv City Council announced only two lots in 2026—for vehicle maintenance and city telephone services. Their total cost amounted to 134,500 hryvnias.

Thus, the largest healthcare expenditures in the region this year are related specifically to the construction and major renovations of medical facilities. The lion’s share of the funds went toward a new outpatient clinic in Prybuzke.
