In the Mykolaiv region, over one million hryvnias were lost due to a real estate deal

In the Mykolaiv region, law enforcement officials have notified the director of a municipal enterprise in the Mykolaiv district that he is a suspect. According to investigators, his actions caused the enterprise to suffer losses totaling more than 1.2 million hryvnias.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, the head of the municipal enterprise, acting in the interests of a third party and with the aim of obtaining an unlawful benefit, abused his official position contrary to the interests of the enterprise.
Investigators believe that the official entered into a contract on behalf of the enterprise for the sale of real estate at a significantly inflated price. As a result, the municipal enterprise suffered financial losses amounting to more than 1.2 million hryvnias.
The director has been notified of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—abuse of official position resulting in serious consequences.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from Police Station No. 4 of the Mykolaiv District Police Department. Operational support for the case is being provided by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region.
The penalty under this article provides for imprisonment for up to six years, a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for up to three years, and a fine.
Earlier, in the Mykolaiv region, a former acting director of a municipal enterprise in Pivdennoukrainsk was notified of being named a suspect for failing to file required declarations.
Additionally, an official of the Pivdennoukrainsk City Council becamea suspectin a criminal case on suspicion of embezzling budget funds allocated for the repair and installation of street lighting. The court seized his apartment to prevent the property from being transferred to another owner.
Furthermore, in Pivdennoukrainsk, the chief specialist of the urban planning and architecture department of thePervomaisk City Council’s executive committee was notified of her status as a suspect. According to investigators, she intentionally approved the replacement of pipes at a heat supply facility, resulting in losses amounting to several million.
