In Odesa, due to emergency power outages, trams on routes 1, 2, 3, 8, and 28 are temporarily out of service.
This was reported by the Odessa City Council.
The emergency involving electrical equipment occurred on July 26 at 1:55 p.m. Residents of parts of Odesa’s Kyivskyi and Primorskyi districts were temporarily left without power.
Additionally, due to repairs on the tram tracks at the intersection of Staroportofrankivska and Taras Kuzmin Streets, the routes of three public transit lines have been temporarily rerouted. Specifically, tram route No. 15 will run from Tiraspol Square to Slobidsky Market via Kherson Square. Route No. 28 will run from Shevchenko Park to Tiraspol Square. Tram route No. 12 will be temporarily suspended while repair work is underway.
As of July 11, tram route No. 10 has fully resumed service in Odesa. For the first time since last December, trams are once again running from Yitzhak Rabin Street to Tiraspol Square.
On weekdays, eight trams will be in service on the route. Trains will run every 10–11 minutes. On weekends, six trams will run every 14 minutes.
Accordingto Petro Obukhov, a member of the Odessa City Council, the restoration of the route marks another step toward the full-scale launch of the city’s electric transit network.
