In Mykolaiv Oblast, 71 families of veterans will receive housing compensation

The Mykolaiv region received 177.4 million hryvnias in state subsidies to provide housing for war veterans. Thanks to these funds, 71 families will be able to purchase their own homes.
This was announced by Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
According to him, the state housing compensation program is already helping veterans and their families resolve their housing issues. Last year, dozens of families received monetary compensation, and 62 of them have already purchased their own homes.
One of those who took advantage of the program was veteran Mykola Nedilya. A month ago, he received state compensation and was able to purchase his own apartment. During a meeting with regional officials, he explained that he still lacked the necessary household appliances to fully furnish his new home.
According to Vitalii Kim, this request was fulfilled—the veteran has already been provided with the appliances he requested. The head of the Regional State Administration noted that Mykola Nedilya’s story is an example of how the state program helps veterans not only obtain their own housing but also begin a new chapter in their lives after returning from the war.
The Mykolaiv Regional State Administration emphasized that the housing compensation program remains one of the key tools for supporting veterans and their families. This year’s funding will enable another 71 military families to secure their own homes.
Recently, during an extraordinary session, deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council supported the creation of the municipal institution “Vector of Dignity,” which will provide support to veterans, military personnel released from captivity, and the families of fallen defenders.
At the same time, the deputies approved the appointment of Pavlo Poznansky—a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, a Marine, and a defender of Mariupol—as director of the newly established institution.
Recently, during a visit to the Odesa region, Ukrainian Prime MinisterYulia Svyrydenkopresented 87 housing certificates to male and female defenders.
In total, Ukraine plans to issue 2,150 such certificates this year to veterans with war-related disabilities.
