In Mykolaiv, a military man was selling humanitarian cars

In Mykolaiv, the court did not approve the plea agreement in the case of a military man accused of selling cars imported as humanitarian aid.
This was reported by the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.
The case concerns a clerk of a military unit, against whom the Central District Court of Mykolaiv received an indictment under Part 3 of Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation established that in February 2026, the defendant sold four SUVs imported to Ukraine as humanitarian aid for a total of about 17 thousand US dollars.
The prosecutor and the defendant entered into a plea agreement. It provided for a relatively lenient sentence - two years of official restriction with deduction of 10% of the salary, as well as a ban on working with humanitarian aid for two years.
The prosecution noted that the suspect cooperated with the investigation and even transferred 150 thousand hryvnias to the needs of the Armed Forces.
However, the court, chaired by Judge Tetiana Fortuna, refused to approve the agreement.
The decision states that the proposed punishment does not meet the interests of society, given the increased public danger of the crime - the sale of vehicles intended for the defense of Ukraine.
Earlier, Intent wrote that in Mykolaiv region, a court found a serviceman guilty of trying to bribe a police officer to avoid punishment for driving under the influence. The accused cooperated with the investigation, entered into a plea bargain, and was sentenced.
Also in April, a court in Mykolaiv found the former rector of Mykolaiv National University named after V.O. Sukhomlynskyi guilty of committing a traffic accident with grave consequences. This is Valeriy Budak, who in 2024, driving a Mazda CX-7, hit a 64-year-old woman on a pedestrian crossing.
