In Mykolaiv, a court has imposed a pre-trial restraint on a man suspected of attacking a police officer and a soldier during mobilization activities.
The relevant ruling was made by the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on March 17 on Heroiv Ukrayiny Avenue. During the check of military registration documents, the man behaved aggressively, and later, in the car, he pulled out a knife and stabbed the police officer in the stomach.

The suspect was detained the same day. He is charged with an attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer and obstructing the activities of the military.
In court, the man denied the suspicion and stated that he acted in self-defense, as he did not know that he was facing law enforcement officers.
The court, taking into account the severity of the charges and the risks of absconding, imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention without bail until May 16, 2026.
