For courage and work under fire: who was awarded from Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions

The President of Ukraine has awarded state awards to residents of Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions for their professionalism, courage and contribution to public life under martial law.

The relevant decree was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

From Odesa region, Valentyn Honcharuk, an electrician at the service station of the Municipal Housing and Communal Services Department of the Chornomorsk City Council, was awarded the Medal for Labor and Victory. He received the award for his diligent work and ensuring the stable operation of the municipal infrastructure.

Mykolaiv region is represented by several energy specialists among the awardees. The Order of Merit of the III degree was awarded to Ruslan Godomskyi, an electrician of the Bashtanka section of the Bashtanka district of JSC Mykolaivoblenergo's power grids. The Order "For Courage" of the III class was awarded to Oleksandr Kovtun, an electrician at the workshop of PJSC Mykolaivska TPP, who worked in difficult conditions during military threats.

From Kherson region, state awards were presented to critical infrastructure and healthcare workers. Oleksandr Kubrak, a machine operator at Kherson CHPP, was awarded the Order for Courage, III class. The Medal "For Labor and Victory" was awarded to Oleksandr Solovyov, a section operator at the municipal utility company "Production Department of Water Supply and Sewerage of Kherson".

In addition, the honorary title "Honored Power Engineer of Ukraine" was awarded to Yevgeny Pohodnya, deputy head of the workshop at Kherson Heat and Power Plant JSC. Larysa Varchenko, a senior paramedic at the Vysokopil substation of the Beryslav Emergency Medical Aid Station of the Kherson Regional Council, was awarded the title of Honored Healthcare Worker of Ukraine.

The decree states that all the awards were given for personal contribution to the life of communities, high professionalism and selfless work in the context of a full-scale war.

Earlier, on the occasion of the Day of Radio, Television and Communication Workers, the President honored Olena Hnitetska, a journalist from Kherson region. In total, 21 media representatives received state awards.
