Due to the shortage of automotive fuel, strict restrictions on the sale of gasoline have been imposed in occupied Crimea.
This was announced by the Governor of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov.
According to him, the sale of gasoline for cash will be completely suspended for several days. Also, there are no fuel coupons for sale, and there are no plans to sell them in the near future.
A limit of no more than 20 liters of fuel per person has been set for holders of previously purchased coupons. In addition, representatives of the occupation authorities and municipalities will be on duty at gas stations to record the license plates of individuals and legal entities that will be using the coupons.
Aksyonov claims that utilities, ambulances, law enforcement agencies and public transport are fully supplied with fuel. According to him, the institutions have also reduced the use of official vehicles.
The occupation authorities claim that the restrictions will be in place for several days, and promise to update information on the fuel situation daily.
There are also reports of coordination between the occupation administration of Crimea and the Russian-controlled leadership of Sevastopol to distribute the available oil reserves.
Aksyonov did not specify the reasons for the fuel shortage on the peninsula. At the same time, the very fact that restrictions were imposed indicates problems with fuel supply in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Recently, the occupation authorities of Crimea imposed restrictions on the sale of AI-95 gasoline. The decision came into effect at 09:00 on May 30.
On the night of May 30, operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces conducted a series of strikes on enemy fuel infrastructure in the temporarily occupied Crimea, aimed at weakening its logistics capabilities and providing troops with fuel.
In addition, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that fuel problems in the occupied Crimea are the result of strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian military and fuel logistics along the Azov Sea coast.
