Children massively poisoned in Mykolaiv: proceedings opened

In Mykolaiv, law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the mass poisoning of children in one of the city's entertainment venues.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to preliminary data, seven children with symptoms of an acute intestinal infection sought medical attention. Two of them were hospitalized. The condition of the victims is being checked.
According to investigators, the day before, the children visited an entertainment venue where they ate fast food, including chicken nuggets, pizza and burgers. These products are currently being considered as a possible source of poisoning.
The police have also received reports of cases of the disease. The information has been registered in the Unified Register, and all the circumstances of the incident are being investigated. Upon its completion, the incident will be legally classified.
Experts are currently conducting sanitary and epidemiological measures and laboratory tests to determine the cause of the poisoning.
Meanwhile, MikVisti reports that the HAPPY LAND children's entertainment center temporarily stopped working on March 18. The facility confirmed that it had received requests from visitors about feeling sick after staying there.
The administration reported that a comprehensive inspection with the participation of specialized services is underway at the center. Full disinfection and general cleaning are also underway.
The institution urged not to disseminate unverified information and promised to report the results of the inspection additionally.
