Artists in Odesa Received City Awards on Their Professional Holiday

The Odessa City Council held a ceremony to mark Artist’s Day. Leading painters, sculptors, and art historians from the city received awards and commendations.
This was reported by the Odesa City Council.
In addition to the awards ceremony, an exhibition was organized for guests in the city hall lobby, and a sculpture titled “My Home” by Mykhailo Reva was unveiled.
Acting Mayor Ihor Koval awarded the Grigory Marazli Honorary Award of the Mayor of Odesa, 2nd Class, to Mykhailo Reva—a sculptor, architect, honorary citizen of the Odesa region, and Honored Artist of Ukraine.
The following individuals received honorary city awards:
- Dmytro Velychko —Honored Artist of Ukraine, painter, and associate professor;
- Vitaliy Lisnychyi —collector and promoter of Ukrainian culture;
- Nadiya Fomichova —Honored Artist of Ukraine, director of the Odesa City Art Gallery, associate professor;
- Olga Gladushevska — artist, senior lecturer in the Department of Design at the International Humanitarian University;
- Daniil Rudyi — applied arts artist, member of the Odesa Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine;
- Petro Nagulyak — People’s Artist of Ukraine, senior lecturer at the K. D. Ushynsky Odessa National Pedagogical University;
- Natalia Loza — Honored Artist of Ukraine, associate professor at the K. D. Ushynsky Odessa National Pedagogical University;
- Yevheniia Bozhko — artist, senior lecturer at the Odesa State Academy of Arts and Design;
- Yuriy Valyuk — artist, associate professor at the Odesa State Academy of Arts and Design;
- Mykola Potuzhny — artist, associate professor at the Odesa State Academy of Arts and Design.
The honorary awards were presented to the artists by Olga Lozova, Deputy Head of the Odesa City Military Administration, and Ihor Koval, Acting Mayor of Odesa.
