An Odessa resident is challenging a 700,000 tax bill in court for income earned on OnlyFans

A woman from Odesa was assessed 765,000 hryvnias in taxes on her income from OnlyFans. She disagreed with this and filed a lawsuit.

This is stated in a ruling by the Odesa District Administrative Court.

The tax authorities learned of the woman’s income from colleagues in the United Kingdom. They informed the Ukrainian State Tax Service that in 2023, the Odessa resident received $68,301 from the British company Fenix International Ltd—money for content she created on the OnlyFans platform.

The tax authority converted this amount into hryvnia at the National Bank’s exchange rate as of December 31, 2023. This amounted to 2,594,235 hryvnias in income. Based on this amount, the tax authority assessed the woman a tax liability of 765,113 hryvnias—comprising both personal income tax and the military levy.

On March 16, 2026, the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Odesa region issued three separate tax assessment notices for this total amount.

The Odessa resident considers the assessments unlawful and is asking the court to overturn them.

She claims that the tax authority never provided documents confirming exactly when, how much, and through which payments she received this money. According to her, even in response to an official request from her attorney, the tax authority did not provide detailed information about any specific transaction.

As previously reported by Intent, detectivesfrom the Economic Crimes Bureau (BEB)in the Odesa region uncovered a businessman who had organized a tax evasion scheme by fragmenting his business. 

Additionally, an Odesa-based company that sold charging stations, batteries, and other equipment concealed sales totaling tens of millions of hryvnias. According to the investigation, the company’s director’s actions resulted in the budget losing over 15 million hryvnias in taxes.
