A tanker truck caught fire on the Odessa–Kyiv highway

A traffic accident involving a truck occurred on the Odessa–Kyiv highway in the Kirovohrad region. While the truck, which was transporting an empty fuel tanker, was in motion, a fire broke out, after which it collided with the vehicle in front of it.
This was reported by the Kirovohrad Regional Police.
The accident occurred on September 14 at approximately 9:30 a.m. on the Kyiv–Odesa highway near the village of Novoselytsia in the Blahovishchenska community of the Holovanivskyi district.
According to preliminary reports, a fire broke out while the truck was moving. The driver then collided with a vehicle traveling ahead.

Due to the emergency and the risk of an explosion, traffic heading toward Odesa was temporarily completely blocked.
No one was injured in the accident.
Rescue workers and police were on the scene. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances and causes of the accident.
Recently, on September 8, a traffic accident involving two minibuses occurred on a highway near Odesa. The collision resulted in injuries, and traffic on that section of the road was restricted.
According toupdatedinformation from the police, two women were killed in the accident in the Odesa region. Two buses collided, and at least 25 other people, including five children, were injured.
Preliminary findings indicate that the collision occurred when one of the drivers veered into oncoming traffic.
Currently, at least 25 victims, including five children, are receiving medical care. The exact number of victims is still being determined.
As a reminder, the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in the Odesa region has selected a contractor to whom it plans to pay nearly one billion hryvnias for the operational maintenance of the Kyiv–Odesa public highway of national importance.
