A Russian drone attacked an oil tanker in the Black Sea: 1 dead, 7 injured

In the Black Sea, a commercial vessel flying the flag of the Marshall Islands and carrying rapeseed oil was damaged by a Russian drone strike. A fire broke out in the vessel’s superstructure.
This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
According to him, one person was killed and seven others were injured as a result of the attack.
Kipper emphasized that Russia’s deliberate strikes on civilian shipping and port infrastructure constitute a gross violation of international law and pose a threat to global food security.
Yesterday, Russian drones attacked a civilian vessel flying the Turkish flag that was transporting corn in the neutral waters of the Black Sea. The ship’s captain was killed in the strike, and one other person is missing.
Also in Odesa, a building belonging to a private company was damaged as a result of a nighttime attack by Russian forces. A fire broke out at the site, which was quickly extinguished by emergency responders.
As previously reported by Intent, on October 3, a motorman was killed as a result of a Russian strike on a civilian cargo ship flying the Liberian flag in one of the ports of the Odesa region. Three other crew members were injured. Rescue workers evacuated 13 sailors to safety.
On September 29, at least eight people were injured in the Odesa region as a result of Russian strikes. A civilian enterprise, port infrastructure, a high school, an animal shelter, a private home, and vehicles were damaged.
