War veteran to be responsible for defenders in Kherson police

The Kherson regional police has a new assistant chief, a veteran of the Luty assault brigade. He will be responsible for supporting veterans, wounded soldiers and families of the victims, as well as developing veteran policy.
This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.
Roman Koziakov, the chief of police of Kherson region, introduced a new assistant who will deal with veteran policy issues. It is Denys Bordak, a fighter of the Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police "Rage", known by the pseudonym Kas. From the first days of the unit's creation, he joined its ranks and took part in the fighting in Donetsk region.
Before the full-scale war, the new assistant did not work in the police, he has three children and could have legally not joined the army, but he made a different choice.
At the front, he was wounded, underwent extensive treatment and rehabilitation, and received support from his family. Despite the opportunity to withdraw from service, he decided not to stand aside and continue working for the benefit of his fellow soldiers.
I know what our military go through before and after the front. My task now is to support my comrades and be there for them," said Bordak during his introduction.
In his new position, he will be supporting veterans, the wounded, and the families of the fallen, as well as cooperating with public organizations. As the new official noted, his focus now is on helping them adapt to civilian life, access to medical and psychological support, legal assistance and social services.
Denys Bordak has received a number of state and departmental awards for his bravery, including the Defender of the Fatherland medal, the Golden Cross and the Badge for Courage in Service.
According to the press service, the appointment was the first step toward creating a full-fledged veterans' department in the Kherson police, with real programs to help, rehabilitate, and motivate veterans.
In early July, in accordance with the orders of the Prosecutor General, Ihor Domuy was appointed head of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor 's Office and Dmytro Lyashchenko was appointed his first deputy.
In February, the police in Mykolaiv region underwent personnel changes: the head of the Main Department of the National Police in the region, Serhiy Makhno, appointed new leaders and introduced police lieutenant colonel Ihor Liutikov as the new head of the Department of Organizational and Analytical Support and Operational Response.
