The Kherson City Military Administration, together with UNICEF, organized the supply of drinking water for the residents of the temporarily de-energized Island.

According to Roman Mrochko, the head of the Kherson MMA, UNICEF provided bottled water to 6 locations, delivering 10,000 liters at a time, according to the schedule.

In addition, the military administration delivered an additional 4,500 liters of bottled water to the Korabel neighborhood. The deliveries were made on a targeted basis to provide water to all those in need.

The centralized water supply on the Island is currently provided twice a day with the help of generators:

  • 07:00 - 09:00
  • 17:00 - 19:00

Residents can also get purified water at special bottling points that will be open:

  • 08:00 - 10:00
  • 17:00 - 19:00

The Kherson City Military Administration continues to work to ensure a stable water supply in the blackout conditions and urges residents to follow the updates on humanitarian aid.

As a result of the Russian shelling on February 17, a critical infrastructure facility in Kherson was damaged.

The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on February 17, the Russian army conducted an air strike on the village of Mylove, Beryslav district, Kherson region.

The post says that the attack severely damaged residential buildings - about fifty houses were damaged, at least three houses were destroyed. There were no reports of injuries or deaths among local residents.

Volodymyr Litvinov, head of the Beryslav district administration , noted that as a result of 9 guided missiles in Mylove, 26 private houses, an educational institution, a preschool, and a shop were damaged.

In the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells "flew" to the Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for Kherson, as the city lost 16 of its residents during that month.

Meanwhile, local businessman Viktor Khodykin will be paying UAH 3 million to close windows and repair roofing after shelling at facilities owned by the city council.
