Revenues of the top ten banks in Ukraine increased by 14% in 2025, reaching over UAH 200 billion. The leaders were state-owned banks, in particular PrivatBank and Oschadbank, which showed a significant increase in profits.
This is evidenced by the data of the monitoring service Opendatabot.
The leading banks in the top 10 earned more than UAH 267 billion, showing an annual increase in revenues of 14%. The leaders include 5 state-owned banks, 3 foreign banks, and 2 private banks. Oschadbank demonstrated the largest increase in profits over the year, tripling its profit.
According to the Index, the total income of the ten largest banks last year amounted to UAH 267.2 billion, which is 14% more than in 2023. Only one change occurred in the ranking: state-owned Ukreximbank replaced Credit Agricole, which dropped to 11th place.
State-owned banks account for 68% of the total income, which amounts to UAH 182.15 billion. PrivatBank leads the way with revenue of 110.51 billion hryvnia.

Oschadbank showed the largest increase among all state-owned banks, increasing its revenue by 1.6 times and its profit by three times. Ukreximbank also showed a 40% increase. Four out of five state-owned banks increased their revenues, but Sens Bank decreased them by 14% and its profit fell by 24%.
Banks with foreign capital earned UAH 47.52 billion, which is 18% of the total amount of the top 10. All of them showed a slight decrease in income compared to 2023. However, OTP Bank managed to increase its profit by 11%. The company attributes this to the resumption of lending in the corporate sector, international programs with the EBRD, IFC, USAID, and the resumption of lending to agricultural enterprises.
The two private banks earned UAH 37.53 billion, which is 14% of the top 10's revenues. Both banks increased their revenues: Universal Bank (Mono) - by 22%, and FUIB - by 14%. FUIB showed an increase of 25% in key indicators, including 65% in retail lending.
In February, the State Financial Monitoring Service received more than 1.7 million reports of financial transactions requiring verification, of which 82% were large amounts and 99% came from banks. Most of these cases were referred to the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine for further investigation.
Odesa region was also among the top three regions of Ukraine where foreigners were most active in starting a business in 2024. According to the Unified State Register, more than 1,100 new companies with foreign owners were registered in the country, which is 24.2% less than in 2023 and 60% less than in 2021. Most of these companies were opened in Kyiv (542 companies, 48.9%), Lviv region (137 companies, 12.4%), and Odesa region (122 companies, 11%).
