The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine has decided to replace the heads of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company and the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
The ministry explained such steps as a planned renewal of management teams and management systems in key state-owned enterprises in the maritime and inland waterway transport sector.
"Further, such measures will also be implemented in the field of rail and road transportation and aviation. The principles of transparent governance are the key to building the capacity and economic security of the state in wartime," the Ministry said.
The resignation of the head of UDP has already been supported by the newly formed supervisory board. And the Ministry is opening a transparent competition for this position. The company's website lists Ihor Chertov as the interim acting director. Oleh Mudrachenko, who was appointed to this position after January 14, is currently the deputy director for technical issues.

On January 10, it became known that Dmytro Moskalenko was dismissed from the position of the head of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company. Moskalenko did not give any reasons for his dismissal, but the order published by the media mentions memos from specialized agencies and the results of an internal audit. Dmytro Moskalenko has been the head of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company since February 23, 2022.
The Ministry initiated the creation of a supervisory board at USPA. Its formation should ensure transparency of corporate governance, strategic control and compliance of the company's activities with international standards and current challenges. The Seaport Authority is currently headed by Oleksandr Semyrga , who will be the Head of Chernihiv and Zakarpattia Customs of the State Customs Service of Ukraine from 2021 to 2024 .
