Russia continues to terrorize Kherson region with drone attacks. Since August alone, there have been more than 16,000 UAV attacks.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

According to him, to protect the region, a unique defense system has been implemented - the city is surrounded by an electronic barrier for the first time in history. This automated system detects and destroys up to 85% of enemy drones.

Ukrainian specialists are constantly improving their methods of fighting: they use "fishing nets", "laser drones" and other advanced technologies.

Prokudin noted that such a system is unique in Europe, and Ukraine already has invaluable experience in countering drones, which will be useful for Western partners.

Recently, the house of a representative of the occupation administration wasattacked by an unknown drone in the village of Velyka Lepetykha, on the left bank of the Kherson region.

On February 4, Russian troops once again attacked the Kherson region, using aircraft, artillery and drones. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of Russian aggression.

On the night of February 20, Kherson was shaken by a powerful explosion - a Russian guided aerial bomb hit a ten-story building. The strike completely destroyed 15 apartments in the building - from the first to the tenth floor. Windows were smashed in another 80 apartments.

As of January 2025, as a result of Russian armed aggression, 8676 destroyed or damaged objects were recorded on the territory of Bilozerska, Darievska, Muzykivska, Stanislavska and Chornobaivska communities of Kherson district.

In the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells hit Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for Kherson, as the city lost 16 of its residents during that month.
