On September 27, Mykolaiv hosted the PivdenFest charity festival. The event brought together residents and guests of the city to help the military defending the Kherson region.

This was reported by Suspilne.Mykolaiv.

The festival brought together craft producers from Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions. The organizers created a rich program that included master classes, lectures, an evening concert, an auction, and a charity lottery. The main focus of the collection was to support the Kherson Air Defense and purchase generators.

In addition to crafts and auctions, the PivdenFest festival also included an initiative to sell books that people had read. Residents of Mykolaiv brought in used books, which were sold at a symbolic price. The organizers noted that the price of each book was already set based on its condition, and all the proceeds would also be used to help the military. In addition to the books, buyers received nice bonuses - bookmarks and postcards.

The theme of this year's PivdenFest charity festival was the sea, which symbolically united the southern regions. The organizers created an interactive installation - a map showing the places that are still frontline or temporarily occupied.

As co-organizer Stasia explained, the map had special markings that visitors could use to mark cities and locations such as Skadovsk, Dzharylhach, Crimea, Melitopol, Berdiansk, and Mariupol. This initiative was intended to emphasize the importance of remembering these territories and the people who live there.
