Mykolaiv region receives inclusive school buses for local communities

On August 5, three communities in the Mykolaiv region received new school buses equipped to inclusivity standards.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
The buses were received by the Kryvoozerska, Ingulska and Myhiyivska communities. In total, 12 such buses were purchased for the Mykolaiv region. The purchase took place as part of a public investment project supported by the European Union under the Ukraine Facility. The specialized vehicles are equipped with lifts, wheelchair locks, and other means that allow for the safe transportation of children with special needs. Earlier, some of the buses have already been transferred to specialized educational institutions, where they are used for their intended purpose.
Earlier, Mykolaiv region received 15 new school buses for local communities. The vehicles were purchased with the support of the Kingdom of Denmark and UNOPS, which made an important contribution to improving the transportation of schoolchildren in the region. The communities include Koblivska, Oleksandrivska, Domanivska, Sofiivska, Bratska, Kazankivska, Voskresenska, Novobuzka, Horokhivska, Pervomaiska settlement, Kryvoozerska, Stepivska, Bashtanska, Bereznehuvata and Berezanska communities.
In addition, Mykolaiv region received pumping stations from Denmark to fight forest fires, which will significantly improve the effectiveness of forest fire fighting. The Southern Forestry Office, as well as the Tyligulskyi, Hranitno-Steppe Pobuzhzhia and Pryingulskyi Regional Landscape Parks, along with volunteers, received seven pumping stations with gasoline engines and 500 liters of concentrated foam for spraying a foam-water solution.
