Mykolaiv Police Arrest Drug Dealer with Explosives and Ammunition

Mykolaiv police detained a 45-year-old man who was selling drugs through the mail and personally delivering them to customers. During the search, they found a large amount of drugs, explosives and ammunition.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police in Mykolaiv region.

According to law enforcement, 50 grams of amphetamine, 30 grams of alpha PVP, 200 grams of cannabis, almost 3 kg of TNT, more than 70 rounds of ammunition, zip bags, scales, and a cell phone were seized from him. The money received from the illegal business was also found: almost 250,000 hryvnias, 950 dollars and 120 euros.

The detainee was served a notice of suspicion for committing eight drug crimes. He faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. In addition, law enforcement officers may additionally charge him with possession of weapons and explosives.

Currently, the court has decided to take the man into custody, but with the right to post bail. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Recently, a resident of Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region, tried to sell an entire arsenal for 10 thousand hryvnias. He was detained at the place of sale of weapons. The man faces up to seven years in prison.

Earlier, the District Prosecutor's Office of Pervomaisk served a notice of suspicion to a 60-year-old resident of Pervomaisk district who was selling combat grenades.

The 60-year-old resident of Mykolaiv region kept RGD-5 and F-1 combat grenades and decided to sell them to residents of the same district.

The suspect was detained when he tried to sell them for UAH 4000.

The resident of Snihurivka will be criminally liable for illegal possession of weapons. Law enforcement officers seized RGD-5 grenades and fuses from the 45-year-old man, as well as more than a hundred rounds of ammunition for automatic weapons. The man from Bashtanka district may face up to seven years in prison.
