As of August 4, 2025, the readiness of residential buildings for the heating season in Mykolaiv is critically low.

The data is published by Mykolaivoblteploenergo.

Out of the 1233 buildings serviced by Mykolaivoblteploenergo, only 30 have readiness certificates, which is only two percent of the total.

The current situation looks like this by type of balance holder: Housing offices and management companies have issued certificates for 22 buildings, condominiums for 8, and departmental buildings do not yet have any certificates. Hydraulic tests of heating systems have been performed in less than half of the buildings managed by housing offices and management companies - 400 (49.3%). Only 50 (12.5%) condominium buildings were inspected, and only one (4.8%) departmental building. This means that 61% of the housing stock remains without any preparatory work for the heating season, which is more than half of the stock.

According to the company, hydropneumatic flushing, hydraulic testing, inspection or replacement of valves and insulation coating restoration are the basis for uninterrupted heat supply in winter. Pay attention to how timely preparation for the season affects the amount of heating bills.

Mykolaiv communities are to receive preferential electricity tariffs. Five communities in the Mykolaiv region may receive electricity discounts. The benefits will go to those houses that do not have centralized heating or gas supply. The relevant decision was considered at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Joint Ownership of Territorial Communities of Villages, Towns, Cities, Housing and Communal Services, Capital Construction and Architecture of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.

Earlier, the Mykolaiv Regional Council approved a decision on a preferential electricity tariff for citizens living in houses without gas supply. Seven communities in the region have filed an appeal, including Shyrokivska, Pryvilnyanska, Olshanska, Vesnianska, Ochakivska, Prybuzhanivska and Pervomaiska communities.
