Electric transport routes changed in Mykolaiv

Mykolaivelectrotrans was subject to hourly power outages imposed by Mykolaivoblenergo. This has led to complications in the daily transportation of citizens.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council on Telegram.
The company, like other consumers, is obliged to comply with the restriction schedules. Mykolaivelectrotrans says it is doing everything possible to ensure traffic, despite regular power outages at substations.
Today, on November 10, Mykolaivelectrotrans has adapted the city's public transport to the schedules of hourly power outages and the emergency situation at Mykolaivvodokanal's networks. The company put 34 trolleybuses on the routes with an autonomous range of up to 20 km.
To ensure uninterrupted transportation, city buses on route No. 1 will start to enter the Pivdennyi neighborhood. Additionally, starting tomorrow, recharging at the final stop will be introduced in this neighborhood to support the operation of electric vehicles.
At the same time, due to an accident at the water utility, tram traffic in the direction of Shyroka Balka is limited. Tram No. 1 runs from the Yacht Club side only to 6 Slobidska Street, and returns to the Yacht Club via Kovalska (Kuznetska) Street. Routes #10 and #7 temporarily run only from the Industrial Zone to the Central Market.
As a reminder, at the beginning of 2025, passengers used Mykolaiv's electric public transport (trams and trolleybuses) more than 11 million times.
The growth in passenger traffic is confirmed by the dynamics: while at the beginning of the year the number of trips amounted to 1 million 57 thousand, in September this figure reached more than 1 million 446 thousand. According to the utility company, the growth in the number of rides is due to the expansion of the route network and the improvement of public transport.
Over the past two years, the number of trolleybus routes in Mykolaiv has doubled from 6 to 12. Some of them were opened to connect with remote areas of the city where electric transport did not previously run. Recently, the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council approved an updated network, which included two new routes, #11 and #12.
