35 fires occurred in Mykolaiv region overnight

During July 31 and on the night of August 1, 35 fires were registered in the Mykolaiv region, two of which were caused by hostilities.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Mykolaiv region.

The enemy again fired on the Kutsurubska community of Mykolaiv district. In the village of Dmytrivka, a wooden non-residential building and dry grass caught fire as a result of the attack. Rescuers extinguished the fire on a total area of 505 square meters, of which 5 square meters were buildings. Firefighters managed to save two residential buildings located nearby.

Another incident was recorded in Voznesensk district, where a 1 hectare area of dead wood caught fire outside the settlements as a result of the fall of the enemy drone debris. There was no information on casualties in either case. In addition, the vast majority of other fires were caused by dry vegetation, garbage, crop residues and shrubs in open areas. There were 27 such incidents on a total area of over 15 hectares.

Separately, a fire was reported in the Varyushyno forest tract in Voznesensk district. The fire has covered an area of 2 hectares, it is currently localized, and rescuers continue to extinguish smoldering fires. The State Emergency Service units and local fire brigades from the villages of Pervomaiske, Shyrokolanivka, Shevchenkove, Pokrovka, Koblevo and Prybuzke were quickly engaged to extinguish the fires.

Recently, a forest fire was extinguished in Mykolaiv region. The fire broke out near the village of Varyushyne, Veselynivka community, Voznesensk district, in the Varyushyne forest tract. According to the State Emergency Service, the fire started on the afternoon of July 28, when coniferous flooring, shrubs and dry grass caught fire. Due to gusty winds, the fire quickly engulfed the area and spread towards the residential sector and the forest.

On July 11-12, 40 fires were registered in Mykolaiv region, most of them in natural ecosystems and on farmland. Fields were burning in all districts of the region.
