In 2026, Mykolaiv is planning a large-scale renovation of its leisure infrastructure: the Pilot utility company intends to carry out maintenance of at least 150 children's and sports grounds.
This was announced by the director of Pilot Utility Company Igor Golovaty during a meeting of the city council's planning and budget committee.
This initiative is aimed at restoring facilities that have not been properly maintained or damaged for a long time to ensure safe conditions for active recreation for citizens.
The amount was formed based on an analysis of the actual scope of work in previous years, as the number of sites in need of maintenance is growing every year. In addition to repairing the existing facilities, the allocated funding will allow us to purchase a limited number of new play elements, such as slides, sandboxes and balancers. However, the company's key strategy remains to maximize budgetary savings by developing its own production.
According to Ihor Holovaty, Pilot tries to manufacture most parts and equipment in-house. This allows not only to reduce the total cost of work, but also to respond quickly to damage without waiting for lengthy tender procedures for each individual element. This approach should ensure a steady pace of work in 2026 so that the number of repaired sites is no less than in previous periods.
Earlier, in the village of Lepetykha, Mykolaiv Oblast, the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Bereznehuvata Village Council planned to restore the lyceum that was previously damaged by Russia. UAH 30.4 million is to be allocated for the work.
The educational building No. 1 of the Lepety Lyceum was heavily damaged, despite the fact that its foundations, made of rubble stone, remained intact. The basement of the building has significant partial fractures, rashes, peeling plaster coating and cracks. The exterior walls have been partially destroyed, with masonry rows delaminated and the textured exterior decorative layer peeling off.
