In Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region, the commission approved compensation for seven homeowners affected by Russia's armed aggression. One applicant was denied compensation.

According to Voznesensk authorities, the decision was made at a meeting of the city commission.

Following the meeting, compensation will be provided to seven applicants who met all the necessary requirements. One resident was denied payment because he had already repaired his damaged home at his own expense. Another application remained under consideration due to an incomplete package of documents, and the commission will continue to study it.

The city authorities urged residents whose houses or apartments were damaged by the war to apply through the government's"eVodnovlennya" program. They noted that the compensation process is ongoing, and the commission is working to ensure that as many affected families as possible receive the necessary assistance to rebuild their homes.

Voznesensk, which was hit at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, is still under the threat of attacks by Russian troops. In 2022, the city became one of the key areas where Ukrainian forces stopped the occupiers' advance, destroying their equipment and pushing the enemy back.

Despite the fact that the front line has shifted, Voznesensk remains within the range of enemy strikes. The Russian army continues to shell the frontline areas, endangering the civilian population. Explosions and attacks are damaging infrastructure, residential buildings and critical infrastructure.

Local authorities and the military are urging residents to be cautious, follow safety rules and respond to air raid warnings in a timely manner. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, preventing it from advancing.

On December 5, 2024, Voznesensk suffered a missile attack. About 30 residential buildings, several cars, and power lines were damaged as a result of the falling missile debris. Work is already underway to restore power supply. Unfortunately, a 74-year-old man was killed in his own home.
