In Mykolaiv region, more than 6,000 applicants have already received compensation for damaged housing under the Restore program. More than UAH 1.5 billion has been paid in the form of certificates and cash assistance for destroyed homes.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Since the start of the Restore program, residents of Mykolaiv region have filed 9601 applications for compensation for damaged property. As of June, the commissions have already approved payments of over UAH 684 million for 6164 applicants.

The first payment under the program has already been made to 5,440 homeowners, totaling over UAH 467.8 million. Another 411 people have received the second payment of over UAH 45.7 million - this applies to compensation under category B, which provides up to UAH 500,000 for serious damage. The first part (70%) is transferred immediately, the second part (30%) - after the first part is used.

There is a separate compensation program for completely destroyed housing. According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 600, 1810 applications have been submitted. 1247 victims have already received certificates for the purchase of housing worth more than UAH 1.579 billion, and another 26 people have received cash compensation for housing construction worth more than UAH 37.7 million.

Over the past year, the city's State Architectural and Construction Control Department has recorded more than 500 damaged private houses, 400 apartments, and many non-residential and social facilities. Currently, commissions are working in two districts of the city to record the consequences of the new shelling and draw up checklists for the program.

Additional payments under the recovery program, for which the government allocated 15 billion hryvnias last year, are available only to internally displaced persons. Compensation is provided to those displaced persons who do not have other real estate in Ukraine, except for property located in the war zone or in the temporarily occupied territories.
