Two boiler houses will be closed in Mykolaiv, and heat will be provided by CHP

Mykolaiv plans to close two old boiler houses and connect their consumers to district heating. The project will reduce heat losses and increase energy efficiency.
This is evidenced by data from the DREAM public investment management system.
Mykolaiv plans to modernize its heat supply system by uniting the first service area by reconstructing heating networks and closing two inefficient boiler houses on two streets of the city.

It is planned to reconstruct the section of the heating network connecting the boiler houses with Mykolaiv CHP. It is also planned to reconnect consumers to the central heating network by installing new heating units, close two old boiler houses, and convert the boiler room into a central heating point.
The total budget of the project is UAH 21.1 million, of which:
- UAH 12.6 million for design;
- UAH 2.1 million - construction works;
- UAH 6.3 million for the purchase of equipment.

Funding is currently being sought, and no confirmed funds have been raised. The project is being implemented byMykolaivoblteploenergo in partnership with the local community.
According to the project initiators, the modernization will be part of the city's long-term transition to efficient district heating and will improve the quality of services for residents of the surrounding areas.
Also, as part of the post-war reconstruction, it is planned to implement an infrastructure project based on the facilities of Mykolaivoblteploenergo. It is planned to install gas-piston cogeneration units of various capacities capable of simultaneously generating heat and electricity. This solution is aimed at ensuring reliable energy supply for residential areas, medical facilities, educational institutions and other community facilities.
