Meanwhile, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), together with the Government of Denmark, is launching a large-scale three-year project called the Strategic Partnership for Mykolaiv, with a budget of more than $36 million to be used for the city's recovery and development.
The initiative, which is part of long-term assistance to Ukraine, aims to improve the living conditions of local residents, help IDPs return, and provide support to the most vulnerable.
According to Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, the project focuses not only on rebuilding infrastructure but also on creating better living conditions in war-affected communities.
The Strategic Partnership for Mykolaiv project will work in three main areas: strengthening local governance, rebuilding critical and social infrastructure, and economic growth, which includes stimulating the local economy and creating jobs.
