The Mykolaiv Regional State Administration plans to allocate UAH 3.1 million for the reconstruction of the Mykolaiv National Academic Ukrainian Drama and Musical Comedy Theater. The funding will come through the Department of Urban Development, Architecture and Capital Construction.
This is evidenced by the data of the public procurement system ProZorro.
Under the terms of the tender, the builders will have to complete all the work by the end of 2025. First of all, they will undertake a complete replacement of the roof to protect the building from precipitation. They also plan to install new drainage systems and modern fire escapes.
The appearance of the theater will also change: the facade will be covered with decorative bark beetle plaster to make it more attractive. Inside, the builders will replace the old doors with new metal-plastic ones, level and paint the walls and ceilings, and install a new floor covering - linoleum or tiles. Special attention will be paid to strengthening the structure: cracks in the walls will be repaired, and old beams and stairs will be dismantled.
This renovation should not only update the look, but also significantly improve the technical condition of the theater so that it can safely and comfortably host spectators.
Meanwhile, a company with a history of NABU involvement was awarded the contract to repair a kindergarten in Mykolaiv. As the Center for Public Investigations found out using data from the Prozorro procurement system, the contract was for the overhaul of kindergarten No. 87 with the introduction of energy-efficient solutions. The purchase for UAH 15.75 million was announced in late June. The auction took place on July 14, with two companies competing - ITC Mykolaivbud LLC and Pivdenbud Mykolaiv LTD.
The first company was initially declared the winner, but on July 25, the customer unexpectedly rejected both proposals, citing non-compliance with the requirements. On July 28, the Department of Energy of Mykolaiv City Council re-announced the tender, in which the same contractors competed again. This time, the contract was signed with Pivdenbud Mykolaiv LTD.
