In Mykolaiv, a hospital decided to install a fire alarm system. UAH 11 million is to be raised for this purpose. The project will provide the hospital with everything it needs to meet fire safety requirements, including the development of evacuation plans, installation of detectors, and staff training.

This is evidenced by the DREAM ecosystem data.

Mykolaiv City Hospital #5 has planned to implement a project aimed at ensuring the safety of staff and patients in the event of a fire. It involves the installation of an automatic fire alarm system, a fire warning and evacuation management system, and the transmission of alarm signals to a centralized fire monitoring station.

The main objectives of the project:

  • Timely detection and alarm of fire threats in the hospital.
  • Installation of a warning system and effective evacuation management in case of a threat.
  • Prompt transmission of alarms to the fire monitoring station for quick response of rescue services.
  • Increased staff awareness of fire safety procedures.

The project will ensure the hospital's compliance with fire safety requirements and help maximize the protection of the life and health of people in the medical facility. The project will develop evacuation plans, select equipment and warning systems. Install sensors, consoles, and other system elements. They will also conduct trainings for hospital staff on fire safety procedures.

The cost of the project is approximately UAH 11 million, of which UAH 9.1 million will be spent on capital expenditures and UAH 1.9 million on operating expenses. The hospital allocated 41 thousand 322 hryvnias from its budget for the project back in 2021.

According to the description, the project will not only provide the hospital with modern security systems, but will also significantly increase the level of protection of patients' and staff's lives, which is critical for a healthcare facility. The project is currently in preparation and requires funding.

Also recently, Mykolaiv has planned to build a modern children's diagnostic center with a transition to an inpatient building and a shelter for 500 people. The cost of the project is almost UAH 790 million, with only 0.53% of the total amount allocated from the local budget.

In addition, the city has begun construction of a new building for the psychoneurological department, which was destroyed during Russian shelling. More than UAH 328 million is planned to be allocated for its restoration. The project will improve the accessibility and quality of psychiatric and drug treatment, as well as reduce the burden on existing departments.
