Villages in the Kherson region are planning to overhaul their water supply systems. The project involves replacing pipes, modernizing pumps, and installing modern water disinfection systems.

This is evidenced by data from the DREAM ecosystem.

A project to overhaul the water supply system in the villages of Fedorivka and Ulianivka was initiated in the Kherson region. The total project budget is over UAH 55 million, but funding has not yet been confirmed.

The project envisages a complete modernization of the water supply infrastructure to provide residents of the two villages with stable and high-quality water.

According to the project description, the work will include inspecting and repairing or replacing wells, installing energy-efficient pumps with automatic control systems, laying new high-density polyethylene pipelines, repairing or building water pressure facilities, installing filtration and disinfection systems, and laboratory water quality control.

Attention will also be paid to reducing network accidents, reducing water losses and improving the quality of drinking water in accordance with sanitary standards. The plans also include the construction of access roads, fencing around the facilities and the introduction of dispatching to control pressure and pumping operations. For uninterrupted operation, emergency backup power will be provided by a diesel generator.

The project was initiated and managed by the Territorial Development Department of the Kherson Regional State Administration. The work is planned to be completed in 2025, as part of the state strategy for regional development for 2021-2027.

The project aims to improve the living standards of the population and promote sustainable community development through the modernization of critical infrastructure.

A modular water purification system will also be installed in the Velyko Oleksandrivska community in Kherson region, which will provide safe drinking water to more than 11,000 residents. The project is being implemented jointly with the Swedish company Wayout as a pilot initiative as part of the region's recovery program.
