The Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in Kherson Oblast has announced a tender for the overhaul of private residential buildings in the village of Posad Pokrovske of the Chornobaivska rural territorial community. The total cost of the work is UAH 54 million 389 thousand, which is allocated from the budget.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.

According to the tender documentation, it is planned to repair houses on several streets of the village: Zelena (houses 13, 16, 33, 35, 40, 45), Pokrovska (houses 5, 11, 14, 22, 39, 40, 51, 54), Sportivna (houses 14, 15, 20) and Khersonska (houses 8, 23, 24, 32, 33, 37, 56, 62, 64, 71, 75, 82, 84, 93, 95, 97). The works include the restoration of roofs, facades, utilities and interior spaces.

Applications for participation in the tender can be submitted by companies that meet the qualification requirements and have experience in implementing similar projects. The auction is scheduled for March 17 in the format of open bidding with special features that provide for reduced deadlines for submitting bids and appeals.

The customer noted that this project is part of a large-scale program to restore the region, which suffered significant damage during the hostilities.

In March 2022, the village of Posad-Pokrovske, located on the border of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, was on the front line. For more than eight and a half months, this area was a zone of active hostilities. Despite constant attacks, Russian troops failed to capture the settlement. Posad-Pokrovske became a stronghold for Ukrainian defense forces and was regularly shelled with heavy weapons.

On March 15, a mass evacuation began in the village. Only a few dozen people remained of the approximately 2,300 local residents. The daily shelling continued until mid-November, causing significant damage to infrastructure and residential buildings.

Meanwhile, in Vysokopillya, Kherson region, financial irregularities worth more than a million hryvnias were found during the restoration of damaged buildings.

Also in Kherson region, the prosecutor's office suspended a dubious contract for the repair of a shelter in the Dar'yivka community, which could have cost the budget UAH 11.4 million.

Earlier, the Capital Construction Department of the Kherson City Council signed a contract for technical supervision of the construction of a radiation shelter on the territory of school No. 55 in Kherson.
