Hromada in Kherson Oblast receives equipment worth EUR 53 thousand from Germany

The Beryslav community received technical support from partners from Germany worth more than 53 thousand euros.
According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the aid includes an IVECO flatbed truck, a scissor lift, a trailer for transporting the platform, and a set of battery-powered tools.
"This equipment will significantly enhance the community's ability to carry out daily work, as well as to eliminate the consequences of shelling," the regional military administration said.

According to the administration, the transfer of equipment became possible thanks to the efforts of the Oitin municipality headed by Sven Radestock, coordinator Helko Haase, Ukrainian partner Oleg Beresnev, international organizations GIZ, BMZ, Engagement Global, SKEW, DST, DLT, DStGB, as well as charitable foundations Help-ua and UKRAINIANSTUGESER.
"In the near future, the leadership of the Beryslav community will meet with representatives of Oitin to discuss new initiatives. We are sincerely grateful to our German partners for their support," the administration said.
Earlier, Germany provided 2 million for the restoration of the water supply system destroyed by the war in the Kherson region. It is a reconstruction of the water supply system damaged by shelling in the village of Borozenske, Beryslav district. The project is being implemented under the Unified Project Portfolio (UPP) and aims to provide round-the-clock centralized water supply to nearly 1,840 residents and 17 community institutions, including a hospital, schools, and other social facilities.
The estimated cost of the project is UAH 188.6 million. The Kherson Regional State Administration is the main spending unit. The implementation involves Vodoley & K, Borozen Village Council, and Delta Projectconsult Ukraine. The city budget allocated UAH 92.7 thousand for the project. More than 2 million was covered by the German government through the U-LEAD with Europe program.
