A modern complex for sorting household waste is to be built in Kherson Oblast. The tender for the construction took place in 2021, which cost almost UAH 25 million.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the DREAM ecosystem.
A modern complex for sorting household waste is planned to be built in Beryslav, Kherson region.
The complex is to be located outside the settlement, and its construction will be part of the post-war restoration of the region's critical infrastructure.
The project aims to introduce an effective household waste management system and improve the quality of services for the local community. The facility has already been included in the Unified Project Portfolio and in the sectoral portfolio of Kherson region.
According to the ecosystem, it is planned to raise UAH 10 million for the project.

The construction of the complex involves the installation of modern equipment for sorting different types of waste, the arrangement of appropriate infrastructure, and compliance with environmental requirements.
The construction was initiated by the Department of Territorial Development of Kherson Regional State Administration.
According to DREAM, the implementation period is approximately 12 months, but the start of work depends on attracting the necessary funding.
However, as it turned out, the tender for the construction of the kit was announced back in 2021. According to the Prozorro procurement platform, the bidding took place in May. Levmiskbud received more than 24 million for the construction.

According to the terms of the tender, the company was supposed to complete the construction by the end of December 2022. However, since the agreement was signed, the contract has been amended. Thus, changes were made on the eve of the contract completion, on December 29, 2022, and then on February 13, 2025. According to the latest contract, the works are to be completed by the end of this year.
Also, the company that previously failed to build an outpatient clinic in the village of Davydiv Brid has again received a similar contract from the Kherson Regional State Administration. The contract is for the reconstruction of a medical facility destroyed by shelling, which the contractor failed to complete on time.
