80 million allocated to restore 17 shelled houses in Kherson region

In Vysokopillya, Kherson region, the restoration of 17 apartment buildings damaged during the armed aggression of the Russian Federation has begun. The project is funded by the state program "Side by Side".
This is evidenced by the data of the DREAM ecosystem.
In the village of Vysokopillia, Beryslav district, Kherson region, the initiative to restore the housing stock damaged during the armed aggression of the terrorist country has begun. The project covers 17 apartment buildings, where roofs are being repaired, windows and doors are being replaced, facades are being insulated and utility networks are being relocated. The goal of the initiative is to create conditions for the return of the population and the restoration of the community.

During the occupation, the village of Vysokopillia was under hostilities for seven months. The shelling by Russia caused significant damage to the local housing stock: 53 apartment buildings were damaged. As a result, the community needed immediate reconstruction, which involves a modern build back better approach - reconstruction with improved technical and energy-saving solutions.
The 17-house rehabilitation project includes:
- repair of roofs, including structures, waterproofing and installation of corrugated board
- replacement of metal-plastic windows and entrance doors;
- insulation of the facades with 100 mm thick mineral slabs with decorative plaster finishes;
- relocation and installation of gas supply pipelines and power lines, installation of external metal structures and scaffolding.

The total estimated budget of the project is UAH 81.5 million, with 100% of the funding provided by public funds through the state program "Side by Side".
Repair of individual 8- and 16-apartment buildings on Vokzalna, Semka, Simka, and Enerhetychna streets. At this point, all contracts have been signed, but only 0.43% of the work has been completed, and payment of bills is 14.3%.

According to the project description, the restoration of the houses will allow residents to return to their homes, create safe and modern living conditions, and contribute to the economic development of the community. The project also provides for environmental certification and compliance with energy saving standards.
The project was initiated by the Vysokopil Village Council, executed by the State Enterprise Khmelnytskyi Regional Single Customer Service, and partnered by the Vysokopilskyi Communal Service. The project is in line with the National Plan for the Restoration and Development of Territorial Communities and the Vysokopilska AH Recovery Plan until 2027, aimed at restoring the community's housing stock.

In addition, the construction of a new Safety Center to protect the population from emergencies was initiated in the village of Arkhangelske, Beryslav district. Part of the funds was provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB) under the Ukraine Recovery Program, and almost 30 million was planned for the reconstruction.
