Mykolaiv region is preparing to upgrade the transport artery connecting Voznesensk and Novyi Buh. More than UAH 720 million from the state budget is allocated for the project.

This is evidenced by data from the Prozorro procurement system.

A tender has been announced in Mykolaiv region for the overhaul of a section of the state road P-55 /M-14/ between the cities of Voznesensk and Novyi Buh. The works are planned for the section from km 184+510 to km 190+500 and include comprehensive restoration of the road surface and infrastructure.

The customer is the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in Mykolaiv region. The expected cost of the works is over UAH 720 million including VAT.

Bids from potential bidders will be accepted until December 1, 2025, and the winner will be determined solely on the basis of price. Funding is provided from the state budget, and the bidding is open to companies that meet the requirements of the law and have no debts or corruption violations. To participate, a bid security of more than UAH 3.6 million is required.

The project will involve a complete reconstruction of the road, strengthening of roadsides, installation of new road signs and lighting, which will increase traffic safety and improve the region's transportation infrastructure.

In August, a company with a dubious reputation and links to corruption schemes was awarded a new million-dollar contract for road repairs in the Mykolaiv region. Although criminal proceedings and journalistic investigations are underway against the company, it continues to dominate the local market. The auction, scheduled for August 8, was held without competition, with only European Road Construction Company LLC taking part. Journalists have previously linked it and the beneficiary to misappropriation of budget funds, collusion and overpricing.
