Medical facilities in the Kherson region have repeatedly come under attack by Russian occupation forces. Therefore, the region is doing everything to save lives.

Recently, one of the hospitals in Kherson has also completed repairs, installed the necessary medical equipment, and now the premises are fully ready to receive patients. The wards can accommodate more than 20 people. In case of a power outage, the shelter is equipped with backup power sources - a generator and a Tesla Powerwall battery.

In addition, a bomb shelter in one of Kherson's medical institutions was restored and re-equipped to provide medical services. Four rooms in the shelter were repaired, the corridor walls were tiled, and five interior doors and a metal-plastic structure were purchased and installed. The total cost of the repairs is over UAH 930 thousand.

Earlier, the mechanism for implementing the construction of the underground hospital and prenatal center was discussed during a meeting between UN Humanitarian Coordinator Denise Brown and the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin. During the meeting, projects to restore social infrastructure, including the construction of an underground hospital and a prenatal center, were presented to the international community.
