Former head of the Krasnosilsk community dies in the Odesa region

Mykola Maidebura, the long-time head of the Krasnosilsk community in the Odesa region and a member of the Odesa Regional Council, has died at the age of 75. For over 30 years, he led the village council and later the amalgamated territorial community.

This was reported by the Krasnosilsk community.

Mykola Petrovych headed the Krasnosilsk Village Council for 34 years. During this time, the community connected villages to the natural gas network, built water supply systems, paved roads, and developed social and municipal infrastructure.

“Much of what is now an integral part of life in our villages was created with his direct involvement,” the community noted.

On October 25, 2015, Maidebur was elected head of the newly merged Krasnosilsk Territorial Community.

Biography

Mykola Maidebura was born on November 18, 1951, in the village of Kamianka, Pishchanobrodsky District, Kirovohrad Oblast. From 1973 to 1978, he studied at the Odesa Agricultural Institute, majoring in “economic cybernetics.”

He began his career as a mechanic at a sawmill and wood-processing plant; after completing his mandatory military service, he worked as an economist and deputy director at state farms in the Odesa region. From 1986 to 1994, he headed the executive committee of the Krasnosilsk Village Council, and from 1994 until 2020, he served as village head.

Awards

Over the years, Maidebur received numerous honors, including a Certificate of Honor from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Order of Danylo Halytskyi in 2012, as well as the Order of the Venerable Nestor the Chronicler from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

“Mykola Petrovych had extensive administrative experience and enjoyed well-deserved authority and respect not only in the Krasnosil community but also far beyond its borders,” community officials noted.
