Sweden allows to use its own weapons to liberate Crimea

Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson has issued a statement on the de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula. Stockholm has now officially confirmed that it gives Ukraine full permission to use equipment provided by Sweden to return all territories, including Crimea.
This was reported by Holos Kryma with reference to official statements of the Swedish government.
According to the Swedish Defense Minister, the country's position remains relevant and unwavering: Ukraine is considered a victim of Russian aggression, and Crimea is an integral part of the state. It was also noted that the return of Crimea to Ukraine is a legal right. Jonson emphasized that they have not imposed any geographical restrictions on the use of the provided weapons to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Sweden has officially lifted any restrictions on the use of its weapons to liberate Crimea, emphasizing Ukraine's right to defend its territories within the 1991 borders. This statement was made against the backdrop of a significant increase in military cooperation, with Stockholm providing Ukraine with the latest Tridon Mk2 air defense systems to protect its skies and allocating 524 million euros to purchase long-range missiles.
In its Foreign Policy Declaration for 2026, the Swedish government officially designated support for Kyiv as its strategic priority. In addition to supplying weapons, the country is actively lobbying for tougher sanctions against Russia and advocating for the aggressor's full responsibility for the occupation of Ukrainian lands. Thus, Sweden has become one of the few countries that has publicly and unconditionally abandoned the "red lines" in the issue of de-occupation of the peninsula.
