On the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Ukrainians with a speech in which he summarized the results and recalled the key tragedies and symbols of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

This was reported on the website of the President of Ukraine.

Addressing Ukrainians on the anniversary of February 24, the Head of State emphasized that this day forever divided everyone's life into "before" and "after", but at the same time made the nation united. In his speech, the President emphasized that Ukraine had not only survived but also learned to win, despite the extremely high price that has to be paid every day.

The President also paid attention to the tragedies and victories of the Ukrainian South that were forever imprinted in the history of this war. The Head of State mentioned little Kira from Odesa whose life was cut short by Russian terror as a symbol of innocent victims of aggression. He also emphasized the catastrophic consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and the attack on the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, noting that these events only tempered the rage of Ukrainians, which was turned into energy for the struggle. At the same time, the President emphasized the successes, mentioning the liberation of Kherson and the destruction of the cruiser Moskva, which marked the beginning of the purification of the Black Sea from the invaders.

Zelenskyy emphasized the transformation of the defense sector, noting that Ukraine now produces millions of drones and has its own missile development. According to him, the enemy has not achieved any of its strategic goals: statehood has been preserved, and Ukraine has become a full-fledged subject of international politics. Concluding his speech, the President assured that any peace negotiations would not mean devaluation of the path taken or loss of dignity.

The main message of the address was that despite the fatigue, Ukrainians remain steadfast, and victory and a just peace are the only goal for which the country continues its struggle.
