The Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea Tamila Tasheva has been dismissed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The corresponding decree was published on the website of the head of state.
The document states that the dismissal took place in connection with her resignation.
Tamila Tasheva, a Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar statesman and public figure, co-founder of the CrimeaSOS organization, was appointed Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine on April 25, 2022. She was responsible for the development and implementation of reintegration policy, as well as supporting legislative initiatives aimed at preparing Crimea for de-occupation and reintegration.
Her achievements include participation in the creation of the Strategy for the De-occupation and Reintegration of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, drafting bills on the status of indigenous peoples of Ukraine, the rights of victims of politically motivated persecution, civilian hostages and prisoners of war, and the abolition of non-resident status for Crimeans.
Tasheva also contributed to the concept of the development of the Crimean Tatar language and participated in the organization of the Crimean Platform Summit.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that Tamila Tasheva has been elected as a Member of Parliament of Ukraine, becoming the next in line after Ivan Prymachenko, who resigned from the Golos party.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently stated that the Ukrainian army currently lacks the resources to return the temporarily occupied Crimea, so it is necessary to seek diplomatic solutions to this issue. In an interview with the Japanese Kyodo News agency, he emphasized that the situation around Crimea can be resolved only after Ukraine reaches a level of strength that will not allow Russia to resort to aggression again.
Earlier, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs ATACMS missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers to be able to hit targets in the occupied Crimea and thus reduce the air threat from this direction.
