Head of the Crimean Platform announces her resignation after Tasheva

Maria Tomak, the Head of the Crimean Platform's support service, has announced her resignation.

According to Tomak, she joined the Mission team a month before the full-scale invasion began, and her activities were focused on keeping Crimea in the center of attention of the international community.

"My colleagues and I did our best to keep Crimea on the international agenda," she said.

Maria Tomak noted that for almost three years in office, she and her team have held dozens of meetings with diplomats, parliamentarians, representatives of international organizations and think tanks. In addition, she organized international events, among which a special place is occupied by the Crimean Platform summits and the Crimea Global conference, focused on dialogue with the countries of the Global South.

They also developed informational materials to combat Russian propaganda and shape new narratives about Crimea as part of Ukraine.

In her statement, the ex-manager emphasized that the work on Crimea requires significant efforts to ensure that the world remembers the occupation of the peninsula, political persecution, the transformation of Crimea into a military base, and Russia's imperial ambitions.

In a comment to Detector Media, Maria Tomak said that she had exhausted her potential in this position.

On December 4, Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Tamila Tasheva from the post of his permanent representative in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Tasheva wrote a letter of resignation herself.

Olha Kuryshko, who previously served as the deputy former presidential envoy to the ARC , was appointed as the acting permanent representative in Crimea .

Tasheva herself noted that she would soon start working in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, despite her statement that she did not intend to do so and planned to remain the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the ARC.

On November 25, the Central Election Commission (CEC) recognized Tasheva as an elected MP.
