This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Mykolaiv region.
Law enforcement officers of Mykolaiv region handed over humanitarian aid to evacuated residents of Donetsk region who are now staying in IDP support centers in Dnipro region.
More than 200 kilograms of children's items, including medicines, hygiene products, blankets and toys, were provided to help people in difficult circumstances.
This initiative was part of the work of the White Angels unit, which rescues residents of frontline settlements, evacuates the wounded and delivers humanitarian aid on a daily basis. This time, Mykolaiv police officers joined the unit, and together with volunteers, they supported those who were forced to leave their homes because of the war.
Most of the residents of the center are lonely people. Among them is 90-year-old Nina Konstantinovna from the village of Dachne, who lost her daughter to an enemy shell. Her house was destroyed on her birthday. Ms. Nina was evacuated by the White Angels, and now she is staying at the aid center. Volunteers are looking for a place for her to live with care.
Thanks to the efforts of the police and volunteers, every IDP received basic necessities and support they need so much in this difficult time.
Also, anyone in need of rehabilitation, including internally displaced persons, can receive free outpatient rehabilitation care. Patients can receive a physical and rehabilitation medicine examination, an individual recovery plan and expert advice.
On November 20, members of the Verkhovna Rada supported a bill to create a system of registration of people affected by Russian aggression. The registration system will include data on the damage caused to the lives and health of Ukrainians. The purpose of the registration system is to introduce a unified database of victims to determine the amount of support needed.
In addition, the government has introduced a pilot program of subsidies for IDPs to pay for housing in nine regions. These include Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. IDPs who rent housing will be able to apply for subsidies if their rental costs exceed 30% of their family income.
