The publication *Intent* and the Center for Public Investigations remain on the updated list of recommended media outlets in Ukraine, compiled by the Institute of Mass Information.
This was reported by the IMI.
The map of recommended media outlets is an interactive tool that helps audiences, civil society organizations, international partners, advertisers, and donors identify media outlets that operate in accordance with journalistic standards, maintain transparency, and play an important role in their communities.
According to the results for the first half of 2026, the Map of Recommended Media included 246 online media outlets, eight regional centers for investigative journalism, 22 radio stations, and 29 television channels from all regions of Ukraine. The map currently features305 news organizations from all regions of Ukraine, which is 52 more than in 2025.
However, in the Odesa region, there are 19 such media outlets: 15 online publications, two investigative journalism centers, one TV channel, and one radio station. In the Kherson region, there are 12 recommended media outlets, and in the Mykolaiv region, there are nine. The Center for Public Research (CPR) was also one of the two investigative journalism centers recommended by the IMI in the region.
The Map of Recommended Media is an online map that brings together journalistic projects from across Ukraine that best meet journalistic standards.
The goal of the Map is to highlight independent and responsible Ukrainian media and help citizens find reliable sources of information.
The civil society organizations “Institute of Mass Information” and “Detector Media” launched the 2023 Map of Recommended Media. In the first phase, 142 Ukrainian media outlets were included on the list; in the second phase, 176; in the third, 205; and in the fourth, 253.
It should be noted that Intent has been on the map since 2023 and has never been removed from it since then. In 2024, Intent became the first outlet in Ukraine to receive certification from the Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI), an international standard for journalistic ethics.
