In Mykolaiv region, propagandist tried to undermine Ukraine through social networks

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed a resident of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region, who was actively spreading anti-Ukrainian propaganda.

According to the SBU press service, through his YouTube channel and Facebook page, which had a total audience of more than 10,000 people, the man called for a coup d'état and the seizure of administrative buildings.

The agitator spread the ideas of creating so-called "alternative" authorities using hostile rhetoric. His activities were stopped due to the SBU's operational actions.

This case is one of five solved by Ukrainian special services in November. In total, three agitators were detained, and two more received real prison terms.

In addition, two authors of pro-Russian social media posts were detained in Donetsk region. They supported the occupiers and discredited the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In Cherkasy region, a pro-Kremlin agitator who spread anti-Ukrainian narratives through social media was sentenced to five years in prison.In Khmelnytskyi, a man who distributed propaganda materials praising Kadyrov and the groups he controls was convicted.

The Security Service of Ukraine emphasizes the importance of prompt counteraction to information threats and calls on citizens to report suspicious activities.

Earlier, Intent wrote that a court in Mykolaiv sentenced a 52-year-old local resident, finding her guilty of high treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

At the end of November, the SBU detained an FSB agent who was adjusting enemy strikes on the city. He turned out to be a former lecturer at a local university. To help the enemy bypass the Ukrainian air defense system, the detainee tried to identify the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces. To do this, he installed a hidden video camera in the attic of the high-rise building where he lived.

Earlier, the SBU detected another enemy agent. The agent of the Russian military intelligence, better known as "Gru", was spying for the enemy in ten regions of Ukraine: Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and Chernivtsi regions. The suspect was a 22-year-old resident of Kherson region, who posed as a military man and moved around our country under this "legend".
