A journalist from Kherson region suddenly passed away

Late in the evening, on January 21, Maksym Birovash, a journalist, editor and communicator from Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, suddenly passed away. He was only 46 years old.

This was reported by the journalist's family.

"Suddenly and unexpectedly. Like a shot. The family still does not believe that he is no longer with us. Now he is 46 forever. He was full of new ideas, projects, and plans for the future. He was a loving, caring father, husband, and son," the statement reads.

He was a loving husband and father of two sons, the youngest of whom was only three years old. Maksym Birovash worked for leading publications, including Forbes, Korrespondent, and Business, and was a respected media specialist.

The funeral will take place on January 23 at 13:30 at the Baikove Cemetery crematorium in Kyiv.

Famous art critic and teacher Iryna Mykolaivna Timokhova passed away at the age of 78. She devoted more than 40 years to working at the Odesa Art Museum, where she became not only an indispensable employee but also a source of inspiration for many generations.

On January 15, Yevhen Bibik, a urologist at the Kherson Regional Cancer Center, suddenly passed away.

On January 9, a day of mourning was declared in the Liubashiv community in Odesa Oblast. Serhiy Burdov, the head of the village of Pokrovsk, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, died of a heart attack in a military unit. The soldier was 33 years old.

On January 5, Serhiy Holubev, vice president and executive secretary of the Odesa Regional Chess Federation and an arbiter of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) , died .

At the beginning of the year, the Odesa Regional Academic Drama Theater lost its actor. Serhiy Yurkov, who was considered a favorite of many Odesa theatergoers, died at the age of 67.

Before that, Eduard Psyadlo, a lecturer at the Mechnikov Odesa National University, passed away in Odesa. He was 79 years old.

On December 29, the last hero of the Soviet Union who lived in Odesa, Captain of the First Rank, submariner Valentyn Sokolov, died.
