Odesa's Children's Library No. 37 Unveils Modern Renovation and New Books Funding of ₴2.15M

In Odesa, children's library No. 37 has opened a renovated modern space.
According to the Odesa City Council, this project was made possible with the support of the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation, which is funded by the governments of the United Kingdom, Estonia, Canada, the Netherlands, the United States, Finland, Switzerland, and Sweden. Mentoring support was provided by the Odesa National Art Museum.

Ivan Liptuga, Director of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation and European Integration of the Odesa City Council, emphasized the importance of investing in the development of libraries during the presentation.
According to him, thanks to the team's efforts, funding for replenishing library collections was significantly increased from 440 thousand to 2 million 150 thousand hryvnias. This allowed Odesa's children's libraries to receive more than 18 thousand new books, and this work continues.

Liptuga also noted that one of the promising areas of library development is participation in grant programs. Thanks to such initiatives, library #37 was able to create a modern space for residents of the Peresypskyi district.

The project was presented by Yurii Horbatenko, Director of the Centralized Library System for Children in Odesa. Yurii Horbatenko, Director of the Central Library System for Children of Odesa, Olha Stemberska, his deputy, and Anastasiia Yavtushenko, a mentor, spoke about the project. The participants were also greeted by the project partners - representatives of the charity organization "SpivDiya", the Red Cross Society of Ukraine in Peresypskyi district of Odesa, and the public movement "United".
In the new library space, decorated in a modern style, visitors will be able not only to read books but also to participate in various events, making the library an important cultural center for the local community.
In Odesa region, the Children's Musical Theater was opened in honor of Youth Day in the Artsyzka community.
Meanwhile, more than 500 books were collected by Ukrainians for the bombed-out libraries in Mykolaiv region.
