Veterans in Odesa have selected candidates for the city council's executive committee

The Veterans' Council has selected representatives to serve on the Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council. They are Serhiy Pushkarenko, Denys Kartashev, and Vadym Nesterenko.
This was reported by the Odesa City Council.
These candidates will be submitted for consideration by the members of the Odessa City Council.
The election took place by open vote during a regular session.
Earlier, the appointment of a new official responsible for veterans’ policy in Odesa sparked debate. Representatives of the veterans’ community demanded explanations regarding his experience and work plans, while city officials urged that the newly appointed official be given time to prepare his program.
Previously, the Crimean veterans’ community had selected its representative to the state’s advisory body following an open online vote. Over a hundred participants took part in the process, which was monitored by independent observers.
Two candidates participated in the election:Marlen Dzherbinov, delegated by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, andArseniy Verigo, delegated by the NGO “Crimean Center for Business and Cultural Cooperation ‘Ukrainian House.’”
Based on the results of two rounds of voting, the following individuals were elected to the Council of Veterans:Artem Kiselov(from Sevastopol) andMarlen Dzherbinov(from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea).
