Igor Koval, acting mayor of Odesa, has ordered that city council members be convened for a regular session.
According to the city council’s press service, the next session is scheduled for June 8.
The agenda has not yet been finalized and currently consists of a list of subheadings for sections that will later be grouped into draft resolutions:
- On the activities of the Odesa City Council and its executive bodies.
- On the budget and finances.
- On targeted programs, concepts, and urban planning.
- On municipal property.
- On taxes and fees.
- On land relations.
- On the establishment, dissolution, name changes, and approval of charters (regulations) of municipal enterprises, institutions, and organizations, as well as their activities.
- Regarding council members’ inquiries.
It should be noted that on June 11, an extraordinary session of the city council was held, devoted primarily to increasing the authorized capital of 13 municipal enterprises so that they could participate in obtaining loans under the state program "5-7-9%" and obtain a loan at 1% per annum from a bank to purchase municipal equipment.
Also during the special session, the acting mayor promised that if, by the next regular session, the newly formed Council of Veterans selects a representative of the military to join the executive committee, that candidate will be considered at the session.
The Odesa Regional Council has also scheduled a regular session for June 19, though the agenda has not yet been finalized. Meanwhile, the publication Dumskaya, citing its own sources, reported that the Servant of the People party plans to remove Hryhoriy Didenko from his position as chairman of the Odesa Regional Council. His seat may be taken by Odesa MPOleksiy Leonov.
